New Adscan for Black Friday

I am not too interested in this one, but you may be.  I always felt like a lot of the items at the drug stores were overpriced to begin with, so to see an adscan from Walgreen’s doesn’t do much for my shopping adrenaline…or my Black Friday Fever.  But here it is for those of you who want to see it.

Black Friday and Ebay/Craigslist

Aaaah!  This is always a touchy subject.  Last year while I was in line at Best Buy, a guy drove up, put two chairs in the line and drove off.  This was about 2 or 3 in the afternoon on Thanksgiving day.  Then, he shows back up late at night and wants his spot back.  Arguments ensued and the police were even brought in.  When he threatened to hit one of the girls in line, I stepped in (before the police got there).

Later on when they started passing out tickets for items, we found out that he got a ticket for all the big items, along with his wife, son and daughter.  That’s why people can’t stand Black Friday Ebayprenuers and CLprenuers (CL for CraigsList). 

This year I need a new laptop.  I may need a new computer (depending on the price).  So I will be in line at BB again.  Will I probably pick something up to sell on ebay?  Sure.  Will I hoard tickets with my family so that nobody else can get what they want?  No.  I think there is a fine line there that I refuse to cross (and a long line on Black Friday).   But the person in line at number 42 who doesn’t get his or her computer or whatever it is will still say that I shouldn’t be able to do it.  Funny thing is, if 42 was first in line, he wouldn’t care.

Black Friday Tip

Do you get paid every two weeks?  What about every week?  Do you get a paycheck or direct deposit?  Well, if you don’t get direct deposit, you may want to set it up SOON because if you need the money you are getting paid on Black Friday to do Black Friday shopping, you probably won’t be able to.

You see, the banks don’t open until 9am (I know one that actually opens at 7:30am in my area) so you will have to wait until they open to cash a paper check.  If you have direct deposit, it will most likely already be in your account when the first doors open on Black Friday.  Yes, I know many people put stuff on credit, but for those of you who need the money from your account that day, think about direct deposit.  Just a thought from the mind of Joe Black Friday.

Sears Black Friday Ad is Online! Wooooh!

First Black Friday Price Prediction

I have seen a few posts already where people believe the price on laptops will get down to $199 on Black Friday.  I have to disagree with them on this.  Why?  Because I think someone (Probably Best Buy) will have one for $149-$179.

Black Friday is Coming!

Whassup?  My name is Joe Wright and I am a Black Friday Freak!  Last year I was named by the people in line at Best Buy, Joe “Black Friday.” That’s obviously a play on “Joe Black” and “Black Friday” but I like it!  There are some important things to know about Black Friday.

Yes, I am one of those people that some of you will hate because I don’t just buy stuff for myself, I do a little “ebay entrepreneuring” with some of the stuff.  Another thing you gotta know…I don’t like it when people break the rules.  Yeah – there ARE rules.  Like this:  Don’t show up at Best Buy on Friday morning at 4am and walk to the front of the line because you don’t see people standing in line…just a long row of tents.  You didn’t earn that spot so it’s not yours. 

Here’s something else that’s cool about BF besides the amazing deals – people!  Man have I met some interesting people in line on BF.  People you get along with will hold your spot so you can use the bathroom and sometimes even bring you food -NO JOKE!  Seriously, don’t think it’s gonna be boring out there because it won’t be!  Will you like everyone in line around you?  Probably not…but you will definitely have some stories to tell. 

So, I’m getting ready for Black Friday and will even get some links up for you.  Make a comment and tell me what you are excited about this Black Friday.  My thing – a new laptop and possibly a new PC.  I hope to already have the Blackberry Storm by that time.
